Anonymous Instagram Account Sparks a “Breadvolution” at South

A bizarre trend is sweeping South’s parking lots this fall with a series of pranks involving – wait for it – bread. An anonymous Instagram account known as @FSH_get_breaded frequently posts pictures of cleverly placed slices of bread on students’ vehicles. Many students have walked out to their cars only to find bread lined up under windshield wipers or shoved into door handles.

We are still unable to track down the students behind these bread-themed pranks, but the Sudhian succeeded in securing an anonymous interview over Instagram DMs.

The first question most likely on everyone’s minds is, “Why?” Why bread, why cars, and what started this seemingly random prank? “It’s easily accessible,” said our anonymous correspondent from get_breaded. “It doesn’t leave marks or damage to cars. If needed, it can be an after-school snack… [T]o sum it up, it’s bread!”

However, they are cautious not to go too far. When asked whether they are planning on expanding to things other than vehicles, they said, “We’ve thought about expanding, but the question is, what’s too far? If we bread something that is school property, I’d say that would cross a line.” So for now, only cars (and the occasional motorcycle) are in danger of falling victim.

Our correspondent estimated that there are around 10 students currently behind these certified-not-gluten-free pranks. “[W]e have some who supply the bread and others who bread cars… but with all our supporters, who can really say who’s all behind the breadvolution?”

So if you leave the building to find slices of bread decorating your vehicle, check the Instagram page – you’re likely the latest victim of the “breadvolution.”
