Bradley Reese Bruin Bio

Meet the newest special education teacher at South: Bradley Reese!

He enjoys teaching special ed because it recognizes that everyone learns differently. “My job as a teacher is to help kids find ways to learn,” said Reese. Equity is important to him, which means working to ensure all kids get what they need to thrive in school.

Before coming to South, Reese had two very different careers. He worked as a Starbucks manager in Chicago before deciding that wasn’t what he wanted. He applied for Teach for America, which is an organization that places quality teachers in low-income districts. Reese then moved to Indianapolis to continue with Teach for America as both an English and special education teacher.

In his free time, Reese enjoys golf, hiking and chess. In fact, he is the 11th best chess player in North Dakota. He hopes to eventually start a chess club at South!

When asked if he secretly lives in the school, Reese said, “I not-so-secretly live very close to the school! I walk here every day.”
