Every first semester, the restaurant skills class has students practicing to put their restaurant skills to the test. The class teaches students how to work in a restaurant environment and their communication skills. This month was the opening of the “What’s Bruin?” cafe. The soft opening, which was on Friday, November 3rd, was a practice course for the students as they gave “golden tickets” to teachers and staff as invitations to eat at the restaurant.
The grand opening was Friday, November 10th, led by Julian Fuller and Everette Dixon. On November 16th and 17th, the management role was transferred to Jordis Maxwell and Hayden Erickson. On November 30th and December 1st, the management role will be taken by Brody Erickson and Michael Suda. They will continue to do this until the end of the first semester. The cafe hopes to get a lot of support and appreciation in the future.
