Whats your favorite math class to teach? “Geometry! I was a visual learner, so geometry was always my favorite math in highschool.”

How long have you been teaching? “This is my 13th year teachng”

How long have you been at south? “12 years”

What hobbies do you have outside of school? “I train and compete with my dogs in scentwork competitions. This s similar to law enforcement drug sniffing dogs (without the drugs). I co-teach scentwork classes at the FM Kennel club and help run the local competitions. My husband and I live on 11 acres of land (About 8 football fields), so I spend a lot of time mowing grass and gardening n the summer. Riding snowmobile is my favorite hobby iin winter!”

Do you have pets? What are thier names? “I have 2 dogs: a 6-year-old labrador named Kanga and a 2-year-old golden retriever named Lana. I also have 3 farm cats: Karen, Gus, and Pickles.”

If you didn’t teach math, what would you have taught? “I considered being an English teacher because I was a good writer n high school. I was involved in speech and drama and was the yearbook and newspaper editor. I also considered being an art teacher. I am very creatve but not necessarly very talented
