PaY Club: Youth Philanthropy in Action
At South, we have a group of dedicated young individuals who are making a significant impact through the power of philanthropy. These students are apart of PaY Club, short for Philanthropy and Youth, a student organization with a mission to support local nonprofits and charitable causes.
With $6000 in their donation fund, PaY Club is actively seeking ways to distribute these funds across various non-profit organizations in the FM area. From supporting women’s civil rights to championing foster care initiatives, PaY Club’s endeavors reflect a deep commitment to addressing crucial community issues.
One cause they are raising money for currently is Matthews Voice, an organization aiding homeless children. Matthews voice provides vital resources such as clothes, food, and necessities to these children throughout the school year. PaY Club is holding a bake sale to raise funds for Matthews Voice.
In a recent boarding presentation on March 19th, PaY Club members deliberated on how best to allocate their funds. Through careful consideration and discussions, they reviewed funding requests and recommendations to ensure maximum impact.
For PaY Club, philanthropy is a call to action, a commitment to building a stronger, more resilient community. Their efforts serve as an inspiration to youth everywhere, proving that age is no barrier to making a positive impact.
