Easter is rapidly approaching, which means everyone’s favorite Easter candies are hitting the shelves. But the question still stands: what is the best Easter candy? In the March 2024 Sudhian poll, 78% of students and staff said they prefer Reese’s Eggs over Peeps. Reese’s eggs are a mix of flavors from the sweet and salty of the peanut butter. They also have the perfect chocolate to peanut butter ratio, with a perfect layer of chocolate to compliment the peanut butter. Reese’s eggs will leave you satisfied, and Peeps will leave you with a stomach ache due to their overwhelming sweetness.

Some of the reasons cited as to why Reese’s eggs are better is that they don’t like the texture of Peeps, or that Peeps are far too sweet for them. Another reason students stated is that Reese’s are available year round, in multiple shapes, while Peeps really only make a resurgence around Easter. Reese’s are beloved by people of all ages, while Peeps seem to only be liked by a small group. Reese’s eggs also come individually wrapped, which makes them better for putting in Easter eggs for egg hunts. So, when shopping for sweets this Easter, consider picking up some Reese’s eggs.
