Mark your calendars! On November 21st through 24th, South High’s very own theatre department will be putting on our fall musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Despite the title being a bit of a mouthful, the show will be anything but stale!

In this fast-paced musical comedy, six unique teens are competing in a — you guessed it — spelling bee, for various reasons. Much of the musical is spent focusing on these students’ personal lives, and hilarity ensues.

If you’re a bit of a joker (speaking of which, check out a review for a similar title on page X…) and have ever wanted to mess with an actor or two mid-show, this might be the experience for you. This show will include the option for a handful of lucky audience members to hop up on stage and participate, but, and this goes without saying, you only have to participate if you would like to – though I don’t see how you couldn’t!
